Loch Lomond Shores is a principal gateway to Scotland's first National Park. It is Scotland's most spectacular visitor destination combining the beautiful environment with an outstanding mixture of leisure and shopping experiences overlooking the majesty of Loch Lomond at Balloch.
The site is open all year round and access is available to enjoy the stunning scenery all day every day.
Scotland's First National Park, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs, is worlds apart from the hustle and bustle of the city. The past is inescapable here as two worlds collide - the gentle lowlands end abruptly at the Highland Boundary Fault Line and gives way to a rugged terrain.
CANOE, KAYAK, PEDAL BOAT and MOUNTAIN BIKE hire provided by Can You Experience (hire is available April - October)
Behind the Gateway Centre, situated in woodlands is a short trail suitable for everyone. For the more adventurous there are leaflets and maps to point you to trails throughout the park, for walking, hiking, cycling. You'll be amazed by the beauty of the area!
Throughout the trails you will find a collection of modern art and sculptures. In recognition of this world famous location, international artists have come together to give their interpretation of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs.
There is always someone on hand to help you explore Scotland's first National Park. Whether it is offering information on the local wildlife and flora, organised talks, or simply locating the best place for you to explore, the Rangers are there to ensure you make the most of the Park.
Loch Lomond's unique aquarium is the first Merlin Entertainments has built in the UK for 10 years. The aquarium takes visitors on a journey starting at the Falls of Falloch, moving through Loch Lomond; into Luss Waters then passing the mythical Camstradden Island until the visitor continues the journey in the expanse of the Clyde Estuary.
For shopping the main store is Jenners where you can find whether it be top fashion brands, fine fragrances or beautiful accessories. There's also china, jewellery, body and beauty as well as our famous food hall and cafe, should you need a welcome rest from trekking around the rails.
